Illinois Enters Phase 4 – What This Means for Freeburg

Illinois has entered Phase 4 of the Governor’s Restore Illinois plan. Under these new guidelines we are inching closer to being fully open.

What does this mean for Freeburg?

Restaurants are now able to allow indoor dining at 25% capacity in addition to the outdoor accommodations that several of our members have had available. This is a welcome change for all restaurants, particularly those who have been unable to provide outdoor seating.

Gatherings of less than 50 people are also being permitted, provided that social distancing is being practiced. The Freeburg Chamber of Commerce will make a decision soon about when to restart in-person meetings.

Our meetings have been on hiatus during the lockdown, with the Chamber Board of Directors meeting via Zoom. This has unfortunately forced us to cancel and/or postpone several events, including the annual FCC/Freeburg Rotary BBQ and the Chamber Pool Night.

With our member businesses and Village Pool now open for business with restrictions, please come out and support our community. Stay safe, please follow any safety guidelines that businesses ask of you when visiting their establishments. Shop small, shop local, and shop Freeburg.
